Stone Painting

Today’s family art activity is to decorate and paint your own pebbles and stones. This is a super project to get everyone involved and the finished stones can brighten up your garden or be hidden out and about the local area during your daily exercise. You could also use your stones to tell a story.

To decorate your stones you can use paint, chalk, marker pens or ‘decoupage’ with glue and cut out pictures. You could paint characters, animals or pictures, write messages or just create some beautiful patterns.

Why not try some of these decoration ideas?

Please share any photos of your finished stone designs with us, we would love to see them!
